What is included in my ticket?

Your ticket includes an 18 hole round of golf at The Lakes Golf Course, access to on-course activations, breakfast and lunch post-game function. Alcoholic drinks, cart hire and club hire are not included and can be purchased at your own expense.

What time does the event start and finish?

Registration will open by 7:45am with breakfast on arrival, followed by a shotgun start at 8:30am sharp. The day will conclude with a post-game function and presentations in the afternoon at around 4pm. A detailed schedule will be provided to all participants prior to the event.

Where will I tee off?

The event will run as a shotgun start. Each team will be allocated a starting hole upon registration on the day.

Who can attend the Golf Day?

The event is open to all medical professionals, with both individual and team registrations welcome. Golfers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend.

Do I need to have a handicap?

No formal handicap is required. The day is designed to be social and inclusive, with friendly competition suitable for all abilities. If you have a handicap you can include this in the registration form. If you are registering individually, our best efforts will be made to group players of similar ability.

What is the format of play?

The format will be a team-based competition, designed to keep the day enjoyable and engaging for all participants. Further details will be shared closer to the event.

Can I register as an individual?

Yes, individual registrations are welcome, and we will place you into a team of other players. Please contact us if you register individually but would prefer to play in a specific team.

Can I hire a golf cart?

Yes, golf carts are available for hire through the club at an additional cost. We recommend booking in advance to secure availability, this can be done during your registration.

Are there prizes on the day?

Yes, there will be a range of prizes awarded, including team and individual competitions, as well as novelty prizes throughout the course. Winners will be announced during the post-event function.

Is there a dress code?

Yes. Strict dress regulations must be adhered to at all times. Please see below instructions:

No denim jeans, collarless or sleeveless shirts, track shoes, elastic or draw string trousers. All cargo pants

and shorts are strictly prohibited. Tailored shorts are permitted but shall be worn with long or short socks. If

short socks are worn they must be plain white or white with a golf club logo. No brand name socks to be

worn i.e. Nike, Reebok. Short socks must be at least 15cm above the top of the shoe.

Socks must be worn at all times in the Clubhouse and on the Course. Trousers and shorts so designed must

be worn with a belt. Shirts shall be worn tucked into trousers. GOLF SHOES MUST BE WORN at all times on

the course. Please note that The Lakes has a SOFT SPIKE policy in force, players with metal spikes on their

golf shoes will not be allowed on the golf course.

Is there parking available?

Yes, parking is available on-site at The Lakes Golf Course for all participants.

What happens in case of bad weather?

The event is scheduled to proceed in all weather conditions. Should hazardous conditions arise, participants will be kept informed of any updates or changes.

Is this a charity event?

Yes, this year the Golf Day is being held in support of charity. All ticket proceeds will go to the Black Dog Institute and the Medical Benevolent Association.
